Town of Cathlamet

Street Lighting Project

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Town of Cathlamet until April 10, 2014 at 1:30 p.m., at which time bids for the “Cathlamet Street Lighting Project” will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bid Forms received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.

Bid proposals may be mailed or hand delivered to the Cathlamet Town Clerk at Cathlamet Town Hall, 102 Main Street, Suite 203, Cathlamet WA 98612 prior to the time and date stated above. The bid opening will take place at Cathlamet Town Hall, 102 Main Street, Suite 203, Cathlamet, Washington.

This project consists of the improvement of downtown streets by adding illumination brackets and poles, pole accessories, and furnishing illumination brackets to the Town, installation, and all other work all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions and the Standard Specifications.

Time for completion of this project is 40 Working Days.

A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) mandatory goal of 0% has been established for this project.

Plans, Contract Provisions, and Bid Documents may be obtained at Cathlamet Town Hall, 102 Main Street, Suite 203, Cathlamet, Washington 98612 for a non-refundable fee of $30.00 by contacting Tina Schubert, Town Clerk at (360) 795-3203 or email at tina@townofcathlamet.com.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond (with an authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the Town of Cathlamet in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount.

The following is applicable to federal aid projects:

The Town of Cathlamet in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.

The Town of Cathlamet reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bid or in bidding.
