Alice Lorraine Woodside

Alice Lorraine Woodside, 85, passed away in Longview on February 21, 2014.

She was born on August 16, 1928 to Moroni and Annie (Long) Minson, in Los Angeles, Ca. She graduated from Garfield high School in LA and married Charles Woodside on May 17, 1947. They lived most of their married life in Placerville, Calif. until moving to Cathlamet in 1990.

Lorraine was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a member of the Cathlamet branch and was active in Relief Society and Temple Work. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a talented actress, activist, great cook and a loving wife, mom and grandma. Lorraine was a member of The Audubon Society for many years.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Keith Woodside, three daughters, Darlene Lanham, Kristin Most and Wendy Vasion, a brother, Ralph Minson, 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Charles, two grandchildren, River and Kristin C. Most, four brothers, Raleigh, Grant, Harold and Gerald Minson, and two sisters, Marie Phillips and Pearl Fulton.

A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. A funeral service will be held at Cathlamet Branch Latter Day Saints Church on Thursday, February 27th at 11:00 a.m. Grave Dedication to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
