Public Meetings to be held on housing and community development needs

The public is invited to attend a community forum to gather ideas for the expenditure of approximately $4.3 million of federal funds over the next five years. The funds are to be used to improve housing and for community projects that serve low-to-moderate income persons and neighborhoods, and to expand economic opportunity in Longview and Kelso.

There are two upcoming opportunities to provide input on community needs for the five- year Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan. A general community meeting for Kelso will be held at Wallace Elementary School Room 203, 410 Elm Street, on Thursday, February 13 at 6 p.m. The Longview community meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 18 at the Cowlitz PUD Auditorium, 961 12th Avenue at 10 a.m.
