Road construction may slow traffic west of Cathlamet sometime this year, when the Washington State Department of Transportation installs two replacement culverts across SR 4 on the east side of the Elochoman River bridge.
The project is expected to go to bid in the spring, with construction occurring between July and September. The work will cause single lane closures to the highway, with flaggers during the day and a traffic light at night, said WSDOT Engineer Lori Figone.
