Quarantine Station open house

The historic US Quarantine Station Museum at Knappton Cove will hold an open house November 9, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Visitors may experience a program, "November on the North Shore," which will commemorate the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery passage through the area just over 200 years ago. Living historians will portray Sacagawea and other expedition members.

Tax-deductible donation to the Knappton Cove Heritage Center will help preservation and interpretation of this National Historic Site. The event is held in conjunction with the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum, Washington State Parks and the Long Beach Peninsula Visitor’s Center ‘Ocian in View’ weekend.

The center is three miles upriver on SR 401 from the Washington entrance to the Astoria/Megler Bridge.
