Learn to care for fruit trees

On October 29 at 6 a.m., WSU Extension Agent Charles Brun will discuss how to avoid diseases in your fruit trees by spraying and management practices.

Following the talk, Master Gardener Ted Cunningham will demonstrate the techniques used when pruning fruit trees. Pruning your trees will control the size of the tree and improve fruit quality. Proper pruning techniques reduce disease and promote greater fruit production.

The class will be held in the Cowlitz County Training Center, 1942 First Avenue in Longview, located on the dike just south of the Hall of Justice for $10 per family. The workshop is sponsored by Washington State University Extension.
