Sheriff's Report, October 17, 2013

Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

October 7 – 1:14 p.m. A caller reported that he had been evicted and was unable to collect his belongings. 1:16 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Cathlamet residence to aid a child with a cut to the head. 3:16 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported threatening text messages; a deputy advised. 4:29 p.m. A caller, concerned about a family member, asked the sheriff’s department to do a welfare check. 5:40 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported receiving threatening messages; a deputy was advised. 7:07 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an Elochoman Valley resident possibly having an asthma attack. 7:48 p.m. A caller reported that doors to a vacant storefront on Main Street were found open; owner was notified. 11:17 p.m. An alarm was activated at a Main Street business; a deputy responded and found everything secure.

October 8 – 12:38 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Fern Hill resident complaining of some swelling. 6:48 a.m. A motorist called to report a vehicle that was all over the roadway; state patrol was notified. 9:37 a.m. A caller reported that a family member was talking about suicide; a deputy responded and asked mental health to follow up. The subject was taken to a scheduled mental health appointment. 10:05 a.m. A caller reported that he had been evicted and was unable to collect his belongings; a deputy was advised. 12:49 p.m. A caller reported that a juvenile had run away from home; a deputy was advised. 3:33 p.m. A caller reported being stalked; a deputy was advised. 6:05 p.m. A caller reported that a subject had escaped a hospital and shown up at a residence; a deputy transported the subject to St. John Hospital. 10:55 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious vehicle across from a business and when an attempt was made to ascertain the plate number, the vehicle drove away; deputies were advised.

October 9 – 2:11 p.m. A caller reported that a website had been hacked. 4:33 p.m. A caller reported a possible prank involving a vehicle up on blocks with tires leaning against it in the high school parking lot; a deputy was advised. 10:44 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an elderly Skamokawa resident who was having difficulty breathing. 11:12 p.m. A man came into the sheriff’s office, asking for shelter overnight; the state patrol was notified.

October 10 – 12:50 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale resident that had fallen. 7:47 p.m. A fire alarm was activated at an Elochoman residence; a caller reported that it was a false alarm.

October 11 – 2:07 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet resident with low blood sugar issues. 4:47 p.m. A caller reported being harassed by a family member; a deputy responded.

October 12 – 1:44 p.m. A motorist reported a vehicle blocking west bound lanes on SR 4 just east of KM. 3:13 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island resident who was having heart problems.

October 13 –- 3:51 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet resident with back pain. 7:03 a.m. A caller reported a disabled vehicle just west of Skamokawa on SR 4. 1:20 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance gave aid to a resident who had an allergic reaction after being stung by a bee. 10:03 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid an Altoona resident complaining of abdominal pain.

October 14 – 7:54 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an elderly Rosedale resident who was feeling ill.
