Leonard William Quigley III, 70, of Cathlamet, died September 26, 2013 in Longview. He was born April 21, 1943 in Cathlamet, to Leonard and Betty (Hutton) Quigley and lived his entire life in the local area.
He graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1961 and served in the US Navy. He was a commercial fisherman and belonged to the Longview Eagles and Heritage Bible Church on Puget Island. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sports fan.
Larry was outgoing, fun loving and high spirited. He was the “communication hub” in Cathlamet.
He is survived by son Mike Quigley of Cathlamet; daughters and sons-in-law Becky and Manuel Dault of Cathlamet and Tammy and Kenny Fleet of Kelso; sister Kathy Oman of Castle Rock and sister and brother-in-law Beth and Rhodney Dunham of Grays River. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Mariah Lyn Dault.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 6, 1 p.m., at J.A. Wendt Elementary School with Pastor Ryan Frank as officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Wahkiakum School District, Boys Basketball Fund, P.O. Box 398, Cathlamet, WA 98612. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
