Gary L. Magnuson

Gary L. Magnuson, 64, of Rosburg, died Sept. 15, 2013, at OHSU in Portland. The son of Gilbert and Sophie Magnuson, he was born Aug. 7, 1949, in Ilwaco.

He lived in Rosburg his entire life and was a log truck driver for Jerry DeBraie Logging. On July 30, 1977, he married Shirley Magnuson and they made their home in Rosburg.

Survivors include his daughters, Kerri Magnuson and Tara Magnuson; sisters, Clara Berkshire and Geri Lee; a brother, Stubby Magnuson; grandchildren, Alyssa and Zoie Hernandez, Joshua Jr. and Breanna Wahl; his sons-in-law, Joshua Wahl and Oskar Hernandez as well as the son he never had, Daniel Urmanski.

His father, Gib Magnuson, mother, Sophie Magnuson and a brother, Ronnie Magnuson preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at Valley Bible Church in Rosburg, at 2 p.m., Oct. 6, with a gathering of family and friends after the service at Rosburg Hall.
