What's happening at the fair?

Wow! It’s hard to believe that the fair has come and gone already. It was simply amazing. I hope everyone had a good time and any comments or concerns are welcome.

I would like to thank the following businesses for donating to the fair raffle: The Skamokawa Resort, Duck Inn, Scribbles Nails/Spa, Athletes Corner and the Wahkiakum Youth Soccer. Now for the winners: Apple I Pad Mini, Miranda Lomax; One cord of wood, Allissa Hull,(this was donated back and Susan Kuhn was the winner); One free night at the Skamokawa Resort, Linda Nevell; $25 gift certificate from the Duck Inn, Ricky Montgomery; Gift Basket from Amy Lomax, Eva Malerd; Bag & T-shirt from Athlete’s Corner, Jim Watkins; $25 gift card from Scribbles Nails/Spa, Ivy Lou Vik; and 2013 Fall Soccer Registration, Carol Blalock.

Once again I would like to thank all the people who volunteered their time at the fair. Without all of you volunteers this fair would not be a success. So once again, thank you.

To thank all volunteers there will be a BBQ/Potluck at 5:30 p.m., on September 4 before the Fair Board meeting. At this time I would ask all Superintendents to bring your Fair book changes. I would also like to do a fair de-brief: What went well, what didn’t, any changes, suggestions or what ever you would like to say. Hope to see you there. Also it would be great to get some Fair Themes in for next year.
