Lois Sullivan

Longtime Cathlamet resident Lois Arlene Sullivan died on July 13 at the hospice care facility in Longview. Lois was born on June 7, 1929 in Red Bluff, Calif. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Portland in 1947 and married her late husband Jack in 1965.

Lois worked for Western Electric, a division of AT&T, in Portland and retired after 25 years there.

She was an active member of the Cathlamet community. She enjoyed memberships in the Cathlamet Woman’s Club, the Pioneer Church and Orthopedic Guild.She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2010. They had one son, Steve Claar of Bend, Ore., and two daughters, Lisa Miles of LaGrande Ore., and Leslie Sullivan of Cathlamet a niece, Bonnie Davis of Lebanon Ore., three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cathlamet Woman’s Club. A private crypt service has been held. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
