Lifelong Cathlamet resident Kimberly Anne Hedges died August 15 at Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.
Kim was born on July 19, 1973 to Max and Lou Anne Johnson Hedges. She graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1992 and worked at Columbia View Care Center for 20 years. She was a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant who loved and was loved by the people in her care. She loved and was proud of her daughters. Kim enjoyed garage sales, her dogs and time spent with her fiancé and her many friends. She also enjoyed volunteering at the food bank at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her fun sense of humor.
Kim was preceded in death by her father Max Hedges in 1989.She is survived by her fiancé Jason Wallin, her daughters Ashley and Kelsey Hedges, her mother Lou Anne Hedges, her brother Jeff Hedges (Shelley) and her Uncle Fred Johnson and his wife Tammy, all of Cathlamet.
There will be a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet on Thursday, August 22 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Cathlamet First Aid Division, PO Box 142, Cathlamet, WA 98612. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
