What's happening at the Fair?

Wow, Fair is here. I hope everyone will come out and see all the changes we’ve made at the fairgrounds. The cow barn has been painted inside thanks to Kelly. All the tables and benches have been painted by Janelle. That was a lot of painting, and it looks great. Thank you to both of you.

The Fair Foundation painted the youth building floor. Both ticket booths have been re-done and look awesome. Next year the T-Building and stage will have had a face lift that is needed.

I will be asking the community members for feed back on the fair. We will be placing comment/suggestion boxes around the fairgrounds. If there is something you liked or disliked please let us know. After all, this is your fair and we want to make it great. Also at these boxes you can help pick next year’s fair theme by making your suggestion. Your suggestions will be taken to the fair board when its time to pick a fair theme for 2014.

Once again I would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers. My hat goes off to the ladies/gentlemen in the youth building and T-Building. Those buildings have come to life in the last week. You are all awesome. Once again, I will say it. Without the hard work of volunteers this fair would not happen, so I cannot thank all of you enough.

Hope to see everyone Thursday night when we crown the 2013 fair queen. These young ladies have done a great job and I would like to thank each of them. They have done an awesome job.

Also Thursday night is the Karaoke contest. Check in at the office and sign up for the contest. There will be a $5 entry fee and lots of fun to be had by all.

Friday is Kids Day with a sidewalk art contest starting the day off from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. You also need to sign up in the office for this event. Then there will be the Kids Day parade and kids’ games.

Saturday will bring the horse shoe competition, cribbage tournament (sign up in office for both), the salmon barbecue and to close out, the band Touchn, Loven, Squeezinn will play for us.

The fair gates will have daily schedules so you can see all the great things going on at the fair. Make sure when you’re at the fair to check out the park. In the park we will have pony rides, a rock wall, an air shooting range, kids’ games, and several bouncy houses. Bring the kids and enjoy!
