In Loving Memory Of Penny Lee Nichols
Penny passed on to Heaven Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Montesano, Wash. She was born Penny Lee Clayton September 10, 1943 at Woodland, California.
She lived in Woodland and Truckee, California, Shreveport, Louisiana and Reno, Nevada prior to moving to Altoona and Raymond, Washington area. She graduated from Woodland High School. She was a wife, mother, homemaker, gas station attendant, PBX operator and retired as a dispatcher and secretary for Cardivan Company in Reno, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Blaine, Richard and Ronald Clayton.
She is survived by her significant other Thomas Deufel; they together have traveled all over the World. Penny is also survived by her children Cheryl Almond (AL) Reno, Nevada, Norman Horner (May) Olympia, Washington, Rhonda Horner (Mike Seaman) of Applegate, Oregon, brother David Clayton (Stella) of Woodland, California, and brother Gene Clayton of Oregon. Penny also loved Tom’s children as her own, they include: Sharon Hastings of Raymond, Wash., Mike Deufel (Theresa) of Raymond, Wash., Tommy Deufel (Rita) of Raymond, Wash. Also surviving her is a sister-in-law Helen Clayton of Sacramento, California, Sister-in-law Dee Clayton of California; several grandchildren, great grand children, nieces and nephews.
She was a loving and caring mother, wife and friend. She was loved by her family and is going to be missed greatly.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10th, 2013 at the Crossroads Church in Raymond. Memorial donations may be made to the Raymond Ambulance Fund at 212 Commercial Street, Raymond, WA 98577.
