CPR class offered for healthcare providers

Care Careers Academy is offering the American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support for healthcare providers course on July 23 from noon to four p.m. This four hour class covers adult and child/infant CPR with automatic external defibrillation (AED), one- and two-person rescue breathing and adult and child/infant choking treatment. Upon completion of the class, students will receive a two-year certification card. Pre-registration is required by calling (360) 636-1000 or (800) 608-2388. Care Careers Academy is located at 862 15th Avenue, Longview, across the street from PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center. The cost for the class is $65 with a book or $50 without a book.
