Notice of Application for Coverage under the

Statewide General Permit for Biosolids Management

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Cathlamet has submitted an application to the Washington State Department of Ecology to obtain coverage under the state General Permit for Biosolids Management. A copy of the application is on file with the Town and the Department of Ecology. The Town is planning to produce Class B biosolids from its new wastewater treatment plant located at SR4 and Wahkiakum High School Road, Cathlamet, WA, and will seek a contractor to transport and apply them to land at a properly permitted site.

The Town of Cathlamet has reviewed documentation previously submitted in accordance with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and has determined that for the purposes of this proposal, SEPA requirements have been satisfied. Any person wishing to view the application or request a public hearing or comment on this application must address their comments or request in writing to Peter Lyon at the address below. Comments or requests for a public hearing or meeting must be received by August 5, 2013.

If you wish to be included on an interested parties list to receive notification of biosolids permit activities relating to this facility, please notify, in writing, Duncan Cruickshank, Public Works Director, P.O. Box 68, Cathlamet, WA 98612. The Town of Cathlamet will provide written confirmation by certified mail, return receipt requested, to each interested person or organization that their name has been placed on the list.
