WHS graduates collect scholarships

Members of the Wahkiakum High School class of 2013 received many scholarships at their June 14 commencement ceremony. These included:

Lars Blix: Hancock, $500; Friends of the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, $1,000; Whitworth University Academic, $18,000 per year for four years ($72,000 total); Merriman; $500 per year for two years ($1,000 total).

Jessica Brochard: Dollars for Scholars Fishing Derby & Car Show, $2,000.

Haylee Budd: Kaiser Permanente Health Care Center, $2,000; Bellevue College Volleyball, $1,500; Kiwanis Club, $1,000, AFSCME Local 1557 W, $400.
