Local businesses celebrate anniversaries

It’s been a busy year for small businesses with three local companies celebrating anniversaries this month. Congratulations to Lower Columbia Realty, Hotel Cathlamet, and Dr. Douglas G. Martin, DMD. Lower Columbia Realty is celebrating ten years while Hotel Cathlamet and Dr. Martin’s office are marking their first.

This weekend Tsuga Gallery will be hosting two workshops for writing and painting with watercolors. Space is still available and the workshops are appropriate for all levels. Stop in at Tsuga for more information. Tsuga Gallery is open Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Annual Puget Island Garage and Yard Sale (PIGYS)

Prepare yourself as next weekend marks the 12th annual Puget Island Garage and Yard Sale. With over 50 sites to visit, this annual event is one you won’t want to miss. Free locator maps are available across the bridge from Cathlamet or at the Puget Island ferry landing. Mule wrestling garage & bake sale fundraiser seeks donations

The Mule wrestling team will be holding a garage and bake sale in the Cathlamet Christian Fellowship parking lot on Puget Island next weekend. If you’d like to donate an item for the garage or bake sale, contact Keith Burns at (360) 431-0651. All proceeds go to the Mule wrestling team.

Lower Columbia Baptist Church picnic

On June 30, join Pastor Joe Blalock and the congregation of the Lower Columbia Baptist Church for a picnic from 2 to 5 p.m. Everyone is invited so stop by for singing, food and fellowship.
