Farmer’s Market open for season

Two Islands Farm Market began its eighth season last Friday, May 24 at Stockhouse’s Farm, 59 W. Birnie Slough Road on Puget Island.

Farmer’s Market hours are Fridays from 3-6 p.m. through October. Fresh grown vegetables, cut flowers, vegetable starts, perennial plants, artisan breads, local art, eggs from pastured chickens and USDA processed meats by the cut are often available.

The Two Islands Farm Market will accept Senior Farmers Market Checks and EBT cards this season.

Kyleen Austin has been appointed stage manager for the Up-Beet Stage. Entertainment will be continuous this season. An open mic session will be held from 3-4 p.m., and featured acts will perform from 4-5 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. This week Willapa Hills member Kerrie McNally will perform her solo material from 4:30 to 6 p.m. For additional information or to sign up to perform, contact Austin at 530-333-3390.

The trolley, Chief Wahkiakum, will run (weather permitting) from the Elochoman Marina to the Farmers Market, leaving the marina at 3, 4 and 5 p.m. on Fridays.
