Local athletes brought back medals from the state Class 2B Track and Field Meet last week at Eastern Washington University.
Two Wahkiakum Mules finished in the top eight places to earn medals.
Nathan Cothren placed seventh in the 100m, 11.6, and eighth in the 200m, 23.82.
Lars Blix placed fourth in the shot put, 45'1/2" and seventh in the discus, 130'5".
Other Mules competed but didn't finish in the top eight places to medal.
Thorben Hubner was ninth in the high jump at 5'8", and Alex Johnson was fifteenth in the pole vault at 9’6” and 11th in the 800m, 2:10.15. Rory Heywood was 10th in the high jump, 4'10", and the relay team of Heywood, Tyra Elliott, Grace Peacock and Linda Bavlecke was 15th in 55.86. Elliott was 14th in the 400m, 1:06.56.
Chandler Chapman led the Naselle Comets with a third place finish in the high jump, 6'. He also finished 12th in the triple jump, 38'3".
Comet Jake Condon was seventh in the pole vault, 11'6", and claimed a medal, and Kyler Wulf also cleared 11'6", but finished 10th.
Katie Green completed Naselle's efforts with a 14th place finish in the 1600m, 6:01.63.
