Persons young and old are invited to compete in a tall tales storytelling contest May 28 at Lower Columbia College, Longview.
Registration will be in Rose Center Room 136, 5:15 - 5:45 p.m. Preliminary rounds start at 6 p.m. with finals at 7:30 p.m.
There will be divisions for adults age 18 years and over and youth ages 14-17 years. Winners will be eligible for prizes.
Contestants will deliver a 3-5 minute talk. The subject must be highly exaggerated, improbable nature with theme or plot. Humor, costumes and props may be used to support the speech.
This is a free event supported by sponsors, who include the LCC Forensics Team and Early Words Toastmasters Club.
