Mule golf results

The Wahkiakum Mule golf team moved their interleague golf match to 21-1 at Three Rivers Golf Course with a 176 to 198 win over Three Rivers Christian and Northwest Christian 204 last Thursday.

Medaling for the Mules was sophomore Elliot Haney 41. Junior Austin Good 44 finished second, and junior Zach Calvert 45 tied for third.

Also scoring for the Mules were seniors Brysen Coleman 46 and Brook Calvert 47. Seniors Bradley Peek shot 37 playing out of the sixth spot so his score was unofficial but a great round nonetheless. Senior Eli McElroy shot 64.

The Mules and Three Rivers swapped home dates because Skyline Golf Course had aerated the greens in Cathlamet.

The Mules shot a four-man total of 172 and defeated the host Northwest Christian 198 and Adna incomplete sending their season interleague match record to 23-1 on Monday.

The Hawks Prairie Links Course generally presents a challenge for the Mules, who rarely break 180 there, so the scores show that the Mules are improving.

Calvert led the Mules, tying for medalist with a 41. Haney missed a five footer on the last hole to finish second with a 42. Good shot 44, Peek 45 and Coleman 48. Also playing were Eli McElroy 73 and Maya Stanley 76. Zach Calvert couldn't make the match because he was at Cispus Learning Center.

The final regular season match is home at Skyline Golf Course today (Thursday), after the schedule change with Three Rivers. Districts start May 13th at Cosmopolis.
