The Wahkiakum Mule golf team still can't make hay in the sunshine, but they boosted their inter-league match record to 18-0 last Thursday with a 189- 213 win over Three Rivers Christian, and an incomplete by the host Adna.
Austin Good was medalist with a 45; Elliot Haney shot 47, Brook Calvert 48, Zach Calvert and Brysen Coleman 49 and Bradley Peek 50.
On Monday, the Mules, with a score of 183, suffered their first inter-league golf match loss of the season when Willapa Valley, 179, avenged their only defeat suffered at Skyline Golf Course with a win at their home course, the Willapa Harbor Golf Course.
The Mules did raise their season record to 21-1 with wins over Northwest Christian, 202, and South Bend and Raymond whose scores were unavailable at departure time.
Playing well for the Mules were Coleman, third place with a 43, and the Calvert brothers, Zach and Brook, who tied for fifth with 45. Zach played out of the sixth spot, so his score could not count toward the team score. Also playing for the Mules were Good 47, Haney 48, Peek 53 , Eli McElroy 63 and Maya Stanley 70.
The golfers host Three Rivers and NW Christian today (Thursday) at Skyline Golf Course. On May 6, they head to Lacey to take on NW Christian.
