Tigers sweep Mules in baseball action

The Wahkiakum Mule baseball team struggled to get the bats going last Wednesday night against Napavine, falling 7-0 in the opener before dropping the nightcap 13-2.

The Mules tallied just four hits in the opener, two from Lars Blix and one apiece from Dallas Peacock and Gunnar Blix.

Things got a little better offensively for the Mules in the second game, notably Gunnar Blix’s pair of hits, including a home run. Peacock, Lars Blix, Travis Wegdahl, and Mason Mackey all picked up singles in the losing effort.

The losses dropped the Mules to 5-5 in league and 6-5 overall. The Mules travel to Morton-White Pass for a double-header this Thursday (today). They host Toutle Lake next Tuesday, 3 p.m.
