Spring Salad Luncheon at Naselle Lutheran Church
The Naselle Lutheran Church is proud to host the “Spring Salad Luncheon” this Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is a fundraiser with all the funds being used to support church mission work. On offer will be salads, baked goods, plants, crafts, quilts and more. A suggested donation of $7 is requested.

The Community Garden will be holding a plant sale this Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Erickson Park in Cathlamet. Community Garden members will be on hand to offer gardening advice.
1st Annual Break the Silence Stop the Shame 5k
This Sunday marks the 1st Annual Break the Silence Stop the Shame 5K charity run/walk taking place in Cathlamet. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with the run/walk kicking off at 9 a.m. at the Elochoman Slough Marina. Registration is $10 with all proceeds donated to the abuse shelters in Wahkiakum. 4th Annual “A Day in the Life” Photo Competition
Each year the Eagle, Team Electronics and the Chamber of Commerce sponsor a photographic competition open to all Wahkiakum & Naselle residents. There are three divisions for entrants – (1) Children ages 0-7 (2) Youth ages 8-18 and (3) Adults 18 and over. The photo must be taken on the 1st of May and be within the Wahkiakum & Naselle area. All entries must be turned into the Eagle with an entry form by May 10. Each division will have a winner who will receive a $50 prize. Sassy’s Says Goodbye with a Cinco de Mayo Celebration!
Next week marks the closure of Sassy’s Chocolates. To celebrate their final days of business Sassy’s will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo Party on their last day, May 4. All store items are on sale including their kitchen equipment. To order flowers or candies for Mother’s Day all orders must be placed by May 4. Bank of the Pacific starts construction on new branch in Warrenton, OR
This week marked the start of the new construction of the Bank of the Pacific Branch in Warrenton, OR. The foundation has been poured with the framing scheduled to begin soon.
