Wahkiakum HS Golf Report

The Wahkiakum Mules golf team extended their inter-league record to 15-0 in a four-team golf match at the Highlands golf course in Cosmopolis on April 11. The winds were howling on a sunny day with gusts up to 30 miles an hour, and any stray shot found itself in the woods or down canyons on the tight front side of the Highlands course.

Austin Good paced the Mule Train with medalist honors with a 9-hole score of 43. Tying for second were Brook Calvert and Elliot Haney with 44. Zach Calvert 51 and Brysen Coleman 54 rounded out the starting five for the Mules who get to count the best four scores. Also playing for the Mules were Bradley Peek 44, Eli McElroy 55 and Maya Stanley 69.

The Mules scored 182, Adna 209; North Beach and Northwest Christian were both incomplete which means they didn't have enough players to complete a team of four players. The next match is home at Skyline Golf Course on Monday.
