Plant Sale this Saturday, along with English Tea

The English Tea and Plant Sale is set for this Saturday, April 20, from noon to 3:30 pm., at St. James Family Center, 1134 Columbia Street, Cathlamet.

Kick off your spring garden with plants from this fundraiser, and help St. James Family Center at the same time. All plants have been donated by area gardeners and businesses, and all proceeds go to SJFC to help with their many worthwhile programs for children and families.

A wide selection of plants will be available, including houseplants, annual ornamentals, perennials, bedding plants, vegetable starts, tree starts, and herbs. Over 10 individual area gardeners are donating plants, in addition to Skamokawa Nursery, Stockhouse Farm, Island’s End Farm, Fern Hill Nursery, Tsugawa Nursery, and Fred Meyer. A WSU Master Gardener will be present to answer questions about the plants or gardening in the local area.

Bring a carton to nestle purchases in for their ride home and be sure to mark your calendar for this unique sale.

Reservations are recommended for the Tea and can be made by calling SJFC at 795-8612. Tickets are $12 each and seatings are planned for noon and again at 2 p.m.
