The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) will be visiting Cathlamet next week to perform Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with local students. All students grades K-12 are invited to tryouts beginning at 3:15 p.m. on April 22 in the Wendt Elementary multi-purpose room. The two performances will be held on April 27 at 3 and 5:30 p.m.
MCT is the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, has been touring extensively for 40 years and will visit nearly 1,200 communities this year with 47 teams of Tour Actor/Directors.
All MCT shows are original adaptations of classic children’s stories and fairytales. Also included in the residency are three enrichment workshops presented by the Tour Actor/Directors. Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self-esteem are all characteristics that are attained through participation.
