Grand Opening Celebration of The Diner

Get ready to party as tomorrow marks the official Grand Opening of The Diner on Main restaurant in Cathlamet. Owned and operated by Sharon & John Buennagel, The Diner on Main is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is located at 88 Main Street in Cathlamet.

1st Annual “Hook the Hawg” Salmon Derby

Grab your fishing rods and head on down to the Elochoman Slough Marina tomorrow and Saturday for the First Salmon Derby. Tickets can be purchased via the Elochoman Marina, Bank of the Pacific, Moore Auto or through PayPal via the Chamber website. All proceeds will be donated to the Wahkiakum High School Scholarship fund. Vendors will be located in the covered marina area from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The weigh-in will be between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. each day.

Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt at Vista Park

The Easter Bunny is headed to Skamokawa this Saturday for the Lions Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Vista Park. The hunt kicks off at 11 a.m. sharp.

If you’re a local history buff or just enjoy homemade baked goods, stop in at the Appelo Archive Center & Cafe, 1056 on SR 4 in Naselle. Coming soon is the limited edition Brix Logging Company Book which includes the story of the Brix family and their tow boat company out of Knappton.

C&H Smoked Fish Celebrate New Building

Last Friday marked a new phase for C&H Smoked Fish as owners Mike and Leah Clark celebrated the expansion of their new building. Located on Puget Island, a ribbon cutting ceremony was organized by the Chamber of Commerce to celebrate this momentous occasion.
