Finnish choir to perform in Astoria, Rosburg

The Sonore Chamber Choir will perform at 7 p.m. on March 28 at Peace Lutheran Church, 565 12th St., Astoria and on March 29 at Valley Bible Church, 4723 SR 4 West in Rosburg. The group is from Nekoski, Finland. "Sonore" is Latin and means "melodiously." The group has performed in Central Finland and in Germany. Because it is Lent, their programs will focus on spiritual music. A suggested donation of $5 can be made at the door. Communion will be served at the Thursday concert in Astoria. The Sonore Concerts are sponsored by the Finnish American Folk Festival and the Columbia Pacific Chapter of Finlandia Foundation National.
