County holding naming contest for new ferry

Wahkiakum County is holding a naming contest for the new ferry to be built in 2014. Applications and guidelines can be downloaded off the county’s website at http://www.co.wahkiakum.wa.us or can be picked up at the County Courthouse, 3^rd floor, 64 Main Street, Cathlamet, Washington. Deadline for entries is February 15, 2013.

Names should represent such things as: County adopted symbols, tribal names, names of bodies of water, geographic locations, cities, counties, related to nautical heritage, etc. Consideration will be given to the names of prior ferries.
