December 24-- 10:41 a.m. An alarm monitoring company reported that a burglary alarm had been activated at a Main Street address. 2:58 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported a dead deer in their yard. 5:26 p.m. A caller reported a whitetail buck with rope stuck in its antlers was headed towards Norse Hall. The Fish and Wildlife Service was advised. 7:26 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an 18-year-old female having a seizure. 7:40 p.m. A caller reported that their neighbors were playing loud music. A deputy responded.
December 25--A caller reported 3/4 of an inch of snow on Beaver Creek Road. The county road crew was notified. 9:58 a.m A Puget Island resident reported a water leak. The PUD water crew was notified.
December 26--4:33 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a 72-year-old male with a possible broken hip. 1:19 p.m. A Puget Island caller reported that someone had written him a bad check. 1:28 p.m. A caller reported that a tree was on fire after falling onto power lines near Rosburg along SR4. The PUD power crew responded. 1:28 p.m. A caller reported that a grandson had stolen two blank checks. A deputy investigated. 1:44 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported hunters who had previously trespassed on their property had returned. The hunters were gone when a deputy arrived. 10:54 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a 61-year-old male with chest pain.
December 27-- 12:00 a.m. A caller reported that a vehicle had been parked along a county road for three days. 2:22 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Skamokawa address to aid a woman with severe abdominal pain. 6:31 p.m. An jail inmate reported an assault. A deputy investigated and determined that the report was unfounded. 9:05 p.m. A Cathlamet business reported that someone had driven off without paying for gas. A deputy responded but was unable to locate the vehicle. State Patrol and Cowlitz County were notified. 9:20 p.m. A caller reported an assault at a Westend residence. One person was arrested. The Grays River ambulance responded to treat a person with possible throat injuries.
December 28--11:05 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a 90-year-old man who had fallen. 12:50 p.m. A caller reported violation of a no contact order at a Westend residence. 3:05 p.m. A caller reported checks had been written on a closed bank account. A deputy investigated.
December 29-- 1:24 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to treat a woman who had fallen. 8:10 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to treat a 34-year-old man with chest pain. 11:45 a.m. A Westend resident reported a neighbor's goats were staked out on her property. 5:10 p.m. A Westend resident reported that his neighbor had let his goats loose and taken the goats' tethers. A deputy investigated and determined the property dispute was a matter of civil law, not criminal law.
December 30-- 9:15 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a woman who had taken an accidental overdose of a prescription medication. 9:40 a.m. A caller reported a single-car non-injury accident along SR4. State Patrol responded. 12:32 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a 69-year-old woman having a mental health emergency.
December 31-- 12:01 a.m. A caller reported that a vehicle had slid into a ditch along Elochoman Valley Road. The vehicle was removed from the ditch without damage. 12:37 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a 13-year-old female who had hit her head and was feeling ill. 10:18 a.m. A Skamokawa resident reported that two men were trespassing on a neighbor's property.
