Sheriff's Report - December 27, 2012

Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

December 17—11:00 a.m. A caller reported that a fallen tree was blocking both lanes of Beaver Creek Road. The county road crew responded. 11:24 a.m. A caller reported that they had found a 12-foot skiff floating down the river. 12:12 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to Thomas Middle School to aid a boy with a possible broken arm. 6:49 p.m. The Skamokawa Ambulance responded to aid a 63-year-old female who was feeling light-headed.

December 18—3:05 a.m. A caller reported a domestic disturbance and requested a restraining order. A deputy took one of the parties to another residence. The caller contacted law enforcement again at 4:14 a.m. to say the person had returned. A deputy was unable to locate the person. 10:31 a.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a man who had fallen from a ladder. 6:10 p.m. A caller reported a single-car non-injury accident near the intersection of SR4 and Boege Road. State Patrol responded. 6:31 p.m. A caller reported a separate single-car non-injury accident in the westbound lane of SR4 near Alger Creek. State Patrol responded. 6:33 p.m. A caller reported a power outage on East Sunny Sands Road. PUD was advised.

December 19—5:24 a.m. A caller reported a fallen tree was blocking Beaver Creek Road. 10:49 a.m. A caller reported that a safe had been stolen the previous night. 11:14 a.m. A caller reported a domestic disturbance regarding child custody. One person was arrested. 3:24 p.m. A caller reported that they had found a cash register.

December 20—12:43 a.m. A caller reported fallen rocks on SR4 had caused two flat tires to a vehicle. 10:16 a.m. A caller reported that someone had attempted to purchase a computer using a debit card without authorization. 5:24 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid an adult male who was vomiting blood.

December 21—8:33 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a 65-year-old woman who had fallen.

December 22—8:42 p.m. A caller reported that a parent had assaulted a teenager. One person was arrested. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to treat the teenager.

December 23—12:43 a.m. One person was arrested after a traffic stop at the intersection of Steamboat Slough Road and SR4. 5:26 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a 68-year-old female who had fallen and been unable to get up for three days.

December 24—9:02 a.m. A caller reported that someone had fired at her while she was out walking. A deputy investigated.
