ORDINANCE NO. 555-12

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET

FOR THE TOWN OF CATHLAMET,

WASHINGTON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR

ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2013

WHEREAS, the Mayor of the Town of Cathlamet, Washington completed and placed on file with the Town Clerk/Treasurer a proposed budget and estimate of the amount of the moneys required to meet the public expenses, bond retirement and interest, reserve funds and expenses of government of said Town for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2013, and a notice was published that the Council of the said Town would meet December 17, 2012 at the hour of 7:00 p.m., in the DeBriae Meeting Room at 255 2nd Street, Cathlamet, Washington for the purpose of making and adopting a budget for said fiscal year and giving taxpayers within the limits of said town an opportunity to be heard upon said budget; and

WHEREAS, the said Town Council did meet at said time and place and did then consider the matter of said proposed budget; and

WHEREAS, the said proposed budget does not exceed the lawful limit of taxation allowed to be levied on the property within the Town of Cathlamet for the purposes set forth in said budget, and the estimated expenditures set forth in said budget being all necessary to carry on the government of said Town for said year and being sufficient to meet the various needs of said Town during said period.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CATHLAMET:

Section 1: The Budget for the Town of Cathlamet, Washington for the year 2013 is hereby adopted at the fund level in its final form and content as set forth in the document entitled Town of Cathlamet 2013 Budget, three copies of which are on file in the Town Hall office.

Section 2: Estimated revenues for each separate fund of the Town of Cathlamet, and aggregate expenditures for all such funds for the year 2013 are set forth in a summary form below, and are hereby appropriated for expenditures at the fund level during the year 2013 as set forth in the Town of Cathlamet 2013 Budget.

Section 3: The Clerk/Treasurer is directed to transmit a certified copy of the budget hereby adopted to the State of Washington Auditor's office and the Association of Washington Cities.

Section 4: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect five (5) days after its publication according to law.

Passed third and final reading: 12/17/12.
