Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:
December 10-- 1:51 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a 74-year-old woman with severe vertigo. 4:52 p.m. A caller reported two juveniles were hunting on land posted with no trespassing signs. A deputy responded and released the youths to a parent. 5:59 p.m. A caller reported a suspected burglary. A deputy investigated.
December 11-- 8:01 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a man with chest pain. 10:16 a.m. A caller reported a pickup headed eastbound on SR4 near County Line Park was driving erratically. State Patrol was notified. 1:55 p.m. A caller reported a man was removing items from their property. A deputy responded and determined that it was a civil issue.
December 12-- 11:52 a.m. A caller reported that a motorcyclist had almost hit a child when the child got off a school bus. 5 p.m. A caller reported a one vehicle accident that damaged a cinderblock wall.
December 13-- 9:34 a.m. A caller reported that two cows were loose on the road. 9:40 a.m. A caller reported that an animal had attempted to dig into a chicken coop and a rabbit pen. A deputy investigated. 10:34 a.m. A caller reported receiving a fraudulent phone call from someone posing as a relative in need of money. 12:00 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a woman having a diabetic emergency. 12:20 p.m. A caller reported a domestic disturbance. One person was arrested. 12:59 p.m. A caller reported water was covering West Deep River Road. 1:36 p.m. Deputies, State Patrol, and the Cathlamet Ambulance responded to the scene of a rollover accident close to the Cowlitz County line. 2:52 p.m A caller reported a trespasser. 4:46 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a person in cardiac arrest.
December 14-- 6:18 a.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a woman who had fallen. 10:33 a.m. A caller reported speeding vehicles on Cochran Drive and said that it was a regular occurrence. 11:48 a.m A caller reported being assaulted by her child while she was driving. An arrest was made. 2:15 p.m. A caller reported water over the roadway at West Deep River and SR 4. State Patrol was notified. 2:17 p.m. A caller reported that a fallen tree was blocking both lanes of SR 409. State Patrol was notified. 2:28 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a man with circulatory problems in his leg. 2:43 p.m. The Skamokawa, Cathlamet, Puget Island, and District #4 Fire Departments responded to a house fire on Bjornsgard Road. 5:01 p.m. A caller reported people were bowhunting elk on private property after dark. A deputy responded. 5:15 p.m. A Clover Street resident reported a power outage. A PUD crew responded. 5:29 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a 68-year-old man having a possible allergic reaction.
December 15-- 9:38 a.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to a wrestling tournament to aid a 15-year-old male who had been kicked in the stomach. 7:39 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a woman with a suspected overdose. 8:58 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a woman having a stroke.
December 16-- 9:02 a.m. The Grays River Ambulance responded to a rollover accident on SR4 west of KM Summit. A caller reported a possible case of animal cruelty. 6:19 p.m. An East Little Island Road resident reported a water outage. A PUD crew responded. 8:26 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to aid a two-year-old female who had fallen and hit her head.
December 17-- 2:14 a.m. A West Valley Road resident reported that a fallen tree was blocking the road and had caused a power outage. The PUD and county road crew responded. 3:10 a.m. A caller reported that a tree had fallen at the intersection of Fairview Road and SR 4. A DOT road crew responded. 5:26 a.m. A caller reported that a fallen tree was blocking Risk Road and Foster Road had water over the roadway. The county road crew responded.
