Sargasso Sea now the Big Red Barn

After 12 years of business in Cathlamet, Sargasso Sea is now under new ownership and has been renamed the Big Red Barn.

New owners Cindy and James Burke and Brittney and Jonathan Balch have big plans for their new family run business which they aim to complete in the next two years.

Offering a wide range of antiques and collectibles, the Big Red Barn has undergone a major transformation over the last few weeks with many improvements made to the barn’s structure and layout. New display areas have been created across all three floors so stock is easy to locate. There are many new items with more stock arriving daily. For those unable to visit the Big Red Barn you can access items for sale via their new website: http://www.bigredbarncathlamet.com.

The Burke and Balch families have a lot of new ideas for the Big Red Barn with the next phase starting in January. Cindy Burke, who is a qualified companion animal hygienist, plans to start a new dog grooming business. Customers can either wash their own dog or let the professionals take over. With over 20 years experience you can rest assured your puppy will leave feeling pampered.

Christmas trees are available until the 24th of December with a percentage of proceeds donated to the Phelps family. You can also stop in to have your pictures taken with Santa and visit Santa’s petting zoo. The Big Red Barn is open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, contact the Big Red Barn at 849-4700.
