The Wahkiakum Lady Mule volleyball team won one Central League match this past week and lost another, both by 3-1 scores.
On Tuesday, the Mules lost 22-25, 15-25, 25-14, 9-5 at Napavine.
"Tough night for us tonight," commented Coach Kayli Hurley. "We just couldn't put it all together. Serve receive was especially rough."
Tori Wegdahl had 10 kills and 15 service points. Marissa Washington had four kills and played well at the net, Hurley said, and Haylee Budd made 32 assists.
The loss left the Mules with a 3-3 league record.
Last Thursday, the Mules defeated the visiting Onalaska Lady Loggers
25-16, 25-13, 13-25, 25-20.
Tori Wegdahl made 17 kills, and Hailey Quigley had 10 service points.
Maya Stanley played sharp defense and came up with some good digs, Hurley said, and Kaylee Bryant had some critical service points in the final set.
The Mules entertain Morton/White Pass tonight (Thursday). They go to Toutle Lake next Monday for their final league match and close out the regular season at home on Wednesday in a non-league match with Toledo. The district tournament starts October 30.
