June E. Mattson

June Evelyn Mattson of Longview passed away September 25, 2012.

She was born in Slayton, Minnesota on June 9, 1914 to Clayton G. and Sigrid (Kragness) Fowser.

After moving to the local area June lived in Cathlamet for many years where she touched so many peoples lives. She was known and loved for her friskiness and outer and inner beauty. June, also known as “June Bug” had a wonderful spirit.

She is survived by her grandson and his wife Bruce and Jill Nelson of Castle Rock. June was preceded in death by her daughter Peggy Nelson, sister Ursula Petersen and two brothers, Howard and Dan Fowser. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Clatskanie.
