NOTICE OF VOTER REGISTRATION

DEADLINES FOR 2012 GENERAL ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to RCW 29A.08.140, that the voters' registration files for all precincts within the boundaries of Wahkiakum County, Washington in which the election hereinafter identified shall be held will be closed for transfer of voters' registrations from one precinct to another precinct within Wahkiakum County and for transfer of voters' registrations from one county to another county within Washington State, after the 8th day of October, 2012, said day being twenty-nine (29) days prior to Tuesday, November 6, 2012, which is the date of the 2012 General Election, in Wahkiakum County.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Monday, October 8, 2012, is the last day that voters will be permitted to register online or by submitting an application by mail prior to said General Election. Pursuant to the provisions of RCW 29A.08.140, voter registration is possible during the period between October 8, 2012 and October 29, 2012; but persons doing so must register in person at the County Auditor's office during regular hours of business, must not be currently registered to vote in the State of Washington, and will be allowed to vote an absentee ballot thereat.

OPEN PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE. The canvassing board of Wahkiakum County, pursuant to chapter 29A.60 RCW, will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 2:00 P.M., at the Wahkiakum County Courthouse, 3rd Floor Meeting room at 64 Main Street, Cathlamet, WA to conduct the canvassing and certification of votes cast in the November 6, 2012 General Election. The meetings of the canvassing board are open public meetings.

A record of the proceedings of the canvassing board shall be made and maintained in the Wahkiakum County Auditor's office, and shall be available for public inspection and copying. The record shall be retained for the same time period required by law for the retention of absentee ballots.

VOTING AIDS TO ASSIST elderly and disabled persons will be available the 19th day of October through Election Day, the 6th day of November, at the Wahkiakum County Auditor's Office, 64 Main Street, Cathlamet, WA.
