Judy E. Lorenzo

Judy Ella Lorenzo, 72, passed away on August 31 at home on Puget Island. She was born on June 12, 1940 in Denver, Colo., to Victor and Lucille (Bentley) Ambrosio. Judy graduated from New Westminster Colorado High School in 1958 and married Paul Lorenzo on June 7 of that year. In 1980 Judy and Paul moved to Cathlamet.

Judy was active in the community but her first love was her family and time with them. She worked as a dispatcher for Wahkiakum County Sheriff's Office and for The Wahkiakum Eagle, Jeannie's Place and on emergency management in South Bend. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

Judy is survived by her husband Paul; sons Steven (Sonja) Lorenzo and DJ (Dana) Lager; daughters Paula (Mark) Will, Beth (Ed) Lorenzo, and Melody Lorenzo; brothers Dick (Carol) Ambrosio, Mike (Marguerite) Ambrosio, Jack Ambrosio and Dusty (Sandy) Ambrosio; sister Rosalie (Dave) Snyder; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren with two on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held September 8, at 1 p.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Cathlamet.
