Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:
August 13--12:03 p.m. A caller reported that a pit bull was running loose on 2nd Street. A deputy who was already dealing with the case was notified. 2:07 p.m. An East SR 4 resident reported a bad check. 3:35 p.m. A Columbia Street resident reported the theft of a bicycle pump. 11:26 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an Elochoman Lane residence to aid a six-month-old boy who had hit his head.
August 14--12:52 p.m. A West Deep River Road resident reported that suspects in an ongoing case were leaving the area in a white pick up. A deputy was unable to locate the vehicle. 2:43 p.m. A West SR 4 resident reported that two women had dumped a desk in her dumpster. A deputy made contact. 5:06 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Randal Drive address to aid an 80-year-old male with low oxygen levels. 6:13 p.m. A caller reported that juveniles were cutting trees next to the fire road at Erickson Park. A deputy was advised. 6:48 p.m. A caller reported a violation of a restraining order at the Duck Inn. 11:03 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a Barr Road resident who was possibly going into cardiac arrest.
August 15--7:53 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported that his wife had damaged his house and thrown his belongings all over the neighborhood. 8:18 a.m. Deputies engaged in a high speed pursuit with a vehicle which ended with one person being taken into custody. Mental health professionals were advised when the woman tried to harm herself by wrapping a radar cord around her neck. 5:17 p.m. A Clover Street resident reported an increase in drivers speeding through the area.
August 16--1:20 p.m. A caller reported that juveniles were jumping off the Skamokawa Bridge. A deputy and state patrol were advised.
August 17--11:56 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to the clinic to aid a 65-year-old male with chest pain and trouble breathing. 5:03 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to the Fairgrounds to aid an 85-year-old woman who had fallen.
August 18--12:50 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Jacobson Road address to aid a 29-year-old female with complications from diabetes. 12:58 a.m. A Middle Valley Road resident reported an ongoing problem with a woman who was harassing him. A deputy made contact and advised him to seek a court order.
August 19--10:39 a.m. A Glen Gate Loop resident reported that clothes and furniture were being thrown out of a house. Deputies were advised. 10:56 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a North Welcome Slough Road address to aid a nine-year-old boy who had fallen out of a tree. 12:45 p.m. A caller reported a single car accident on SR 4 west of Little Cape Horn. 3:38 p.m. A Cathlamet business reported a customer had paid for $10 worth of gas, but pumped $40 before driving off. A deputy located the vehicle at the intersection of SR 4 and Grays River Cemetery Road. One person was taken into custody on two Pacific County warrants. The subject was handed over to Pacific County deputies. 7:09 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported people were running around in a field firing a shotgun. A deputy responded and found the subject to be hunting nutria with the landowners permission. 9:28 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to a West SR 4 address to aid a 43-year-old man with a high fever.
