Sheriff's Report - July 19, 2012

Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

July 9--2:58 p.m. An East Valley Road resident reported people were driving past his house at high speed. 3:49 p.m. A woman at the Cathlamet marina called to file a formal complaint against the owners of three dogs that had attacked her the previous week. 6:35 p.m. An East Little Island Road resident reported that a friend had called her after her husband had thrown her out of their home. A deputy and a domestic violence advocate were advised. 11:37 p.m. A Clover Street resident reported that a 16-year-old foster child had gone for a walk at 7:30 p.m. and had not returned. A deputy was advised. After a sighting at a local gas station, the juvenile was considered a runaway.

July 10--6:28 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a 2nd Street address to aid an 82-year-old female who had fallen. 10:51 a.m. A caller reported that a man had beaten her granddaughter and taken all her clothes with the intention of burning them. A deputy responded and one person was taken into custody.

July 11--10:39 a.m. A caller reported drug activity at a Jacobson Road address. 1:56 p.m. A caller reported a customer was not paying his bill. A deputy was advised. 10:39 p.m. A Middle Valley Road resident reported a violation of a restraining order.

July 12--2:57 p.m. A deputy made a vehicle stop on Front street. One person was taken into custody. 5:16 p.m. An Upper Landing Road resident reported that two pit bull type dogs were at her residence and that they had chased her animals in the past.

July 13--6:32 a.m. A caller at County Line Park reported being threatened. The two parties were advised to avoid each other. 8:17 a.m. A woman reported finding a 17-year-old male sleeping at Erickson Park. 8:49 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Columbia Street address to aid a 95-year-old male who was unconscious. 12:09 p.m. A deputy made a vehicle stop on SR 4 near Elochoman Valley Road and took one person into custody. 12:20 p.m. A Country Court Lane resident reported that a neighbor had verbally abused her and her six-year-old child. 4:22 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported a woman had possibly violated a protection order after making a rude comment from her car whilst driving past. 5:01 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a West Birnie Slough Road residence to aid a woman with indigestion and irregular heart beat.

July 14--9 a.m. A Wainamo Road resident reported motorcyclists were being loud and disturbing the peace. 10:06 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported a woman had possibly violated a protection order in regards to visitation requirements. A deputy made contact and advised the caller to contact civil court.

July 15--2:48 a.m. A caller at Vista Park reported a group of people were fighting. A deputy made contact and took one person into custody. 7:28 a.m. A caller reported a man in dark clothing was sleeping on the fogline of the eastbound lane of SR 4. 11:08 a.m. A deputy made a vehicle stop and one person was taken into custody. 7:43 p.m. A caller reported that four juveniles were smoking marijuana in one of the dugouts at the high school baseball field.
