Local athletes earned medals at the Class 2B State Track and Field Meet last week at Cheney.
Medals go to the top eight placers in an event.
Wahkiakum Mule Senior Blaine Land placed fourth in the discus, 106-9, and fifth in the shot put, 34-4.
Mule Brett Chaput, also a senior, placed second in the discus, 146-4, and finished 15th in the javelin, 132-8.
Naselle Comet senior Rob Baker picked up two medals. He was fifth in the 110m high hurdles, 15.56, and sixth in the long jump, 20-5.
Chandler Chapman placed fourth in the high jump, 6-2 to earn a medal. Cramer Smith placed 15th in the 1600m, 4:58.35.
For the Comettes, Katie Green placed eighth in the 3200m in 12:33.61.
In boys team results, the Comets were 20th with 12 points, and the Mules were 23rd with eight points.
In girls team results, the Mules were 23rd with nine points, and the Comettes were 37th with one point.
