To The Eagle:
As some of you may know, this week is Teacher Appreciation Week. I only learned this a week ago and it has given me a lot to think about. One question that has been running through my mind for the past few days: Why do we only take one week a year to appreciate teachers? A teacher's job is just as important this week as it was 10 weeks ago.
As a student it is easy to see a teacher as someone who is just there to make my life more difficult by forcing me to write essays and calculate complicated equations and I don't take many opportunities to thank my teachers for all they have done for me.
If it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't know how to write all of those essays, calculate those equations or even write this letter. I hope that those of you with children in school and those of you that are children in school will take the opportunity to thank your child's teachers or your teachers. They are taking the time to teach students things that they will use for their whole lives and I don't believe that they get enough credit for that.
