Elochoman 10.7 Paving

WAHKIAKUM COUNTY, WASHINGTON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Wahkiakum County, Washington, at the Wahkiakum County Public Works office, 3rd Floor, Wahkiakum County Courthouse, 64 Main Street, P.O. Box 97, Cathlamet, Washington 98612, until 11:00 A.M. local time the 22 day of May, 2012, and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the Elochoman Valley Road milepost 10.7 paving project.

Project Description:

  The project provides for the improvement of the

  Elochoman Valley Road by, surfacing and paving

  with hot mix asphalt, traffic control, and other

  work, all in accordance with the contract provisions

  and standard specifications.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Wahkiakum County. Bid security, other than bid bonds, submitted by unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as practicable after award of the contract.

To be considered, any bid submitted must be accompanied by a sworn Non-Collusion Certificate.

The successful bidder will be required to execute a written Public Works Contract and to provide performance and payment bonds as described in the project specifications. Time for completion of this project shall be 10 working days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Wahkiakum County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities in the bidding and to award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder.
