Community club extends invitation

To The Eagle:

The Rosburg Community Club wishes to see the programs we host extend into the future for the well being of our community. We wish to ensure continued good health through healthy food programs which explains why we have supported lunch programs through the years. We accomplish these goals by paying for unmet costs in heat and utilities, supplies and labor and by keeping the hall available.

Our goal is to achieve a balance, to continue making the hall available to meet what we perceive are the needs of the community versus the challenge of a very small number of volunteers. Our volunteers donate their own money and labor to raise dollars needed to pay for the costs incurred in just keeping the Hall doors open. The members work to pay the bills, maintain, do repairs and make needed upgrades such as insulation, wiring, heating, commercial dishwasher to comply with county regulations, new stoves, kitchen equipment, tables and chairs for the Hall and of late, pay for paint to have the building painted by wonderful volunteers just to mention a few items. Supplies for cleaning, floor care, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags or garbage service, repairs to plumbing – new blinds – the list goes on and on. Who pays for all of this?

The answer is our community – when they support our efforts in attending fund raisers and bazaars the RCC hosts but it all begins with Rosburg Community Club members who donate their money and their labor.

The Rosburg Club has survived and succeeded because of the many years of service by members past and present who have given generously of their time, energy and creativity. They believed in giving back to the people and the community they love. We invite you to join us, we invite you to show in a visible way you care about your friends, neighbors and community. Please help us to help you. Donations are always needed and so very welcome. The best donation of all is for you to become a member of the Rosburg Community Club.
