Robert S. Pedersen

Robert Sigurd Pedersen, 74, of Bountiful, Utah, passed away peacefully March 18, 2012.

Born February 20, 1938 to Peder and Marlene Pedersen, in Kalispel, Mont., he grew up on Puget Island, and attended school in Wahkiakum, where he was active in football, FFA and 4-H.

He worked for Bob Hendrickson, Brusco Tug and Barge and was the Captain of the Puget Island Ferry.

Robert moved to Utah where he resided with his niece and nephew, Dave and Robyn Livingston. He was grateful for having the opportunity of working at Green's Concrete and then later at Penhall's, where he was known as "Uncle Bob."

He enjoyed his travels to Mexico, sailing his boat "Oden's Toy" on the great Salt Lake and spent many hours working on cars and his MG. Robert was a diehard Washington Huskies fan! His favorite of all was attending his grandson’s football games in Arizona over the last four years.

Robert is survived by his sister Jan Silvestri; his son Erik Pedersen; his daughter Amber Kirby and her husband Jason; grandson James Pedersen; nieces Kim, Jerry, and Robyn; nephew Jimmy; and Holly, the mother of his grandson.

Friends and family are welcome to send Robert on his final voyage to Valhalla at Grasseth Cemetery, Oak Point, Washington. March 24, 2012 @ 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grasseth Cemetery, c/o Lisa Hill, 2429 50th Ave., Longview WA, 98632.
