Sheriff's Report - March 15, 2012

Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

March 5--9:04 a.m. A Broadway Street resident reported a possible burglary. A deputy investigated and found that the wind had blown open a door.

March 7--12:01 a.m. A Jacobsen Road resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from an ex-girlfriend. A deputy made contact. The suspect agreed to stop all contact with the victim. 5:09 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a 74-year-old male in cardiac arrest.

March 8--7:06 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an 85-year-old man with breathing trouble. 9:42 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a S. Welcome Slough Road residence give emergency transport to a cancer patient. 11:00 a.m. A S. 3rd Street resident reported a case of harassment involving a school student. 6:40 p.m. A Mullen Road resident reported that the ornament from the hood of his car had been taken. 11:41 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a 27-year-old male who was having a seizure.

March 9--8:02 a.m. A caller reported that a tree was partially blocking W. Birnie Slough Road. 11:09 a.m. A deputy stopped a vehicle on SR 4 and made an arrest. 4:06 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an Alder Street residence to aid an 18-year-old female having a seizure. 4:20 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an E. Sunny Sands residence to aid a 17-year-old male having abdominal pain. 5:26 p.m. A deputy pulled over a vehicle on SR 4. One person was taken into custody.

March 10--5:17 p.m. A caller reported a possible poaching area on Steamboat Slough. 10:06 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to the fire hall to aid a 64-year-old female having a stroke.

March 11--12:39 p.m. A caller reported the doors at the high school ag shop were open. Deputies responded and detained one person found on the scene. 3:56 a.m. A 911 call was received from the Cochran Drive area. When called back, the caller refused to cooperate. A domestic violence advocate was contacted to help. 12:18 p.m. The Grays River Ambulance responded to aid a 72-year-old male who was vomiting. The patient later decided to travel to the hospital in a private vehicle. 2:12 p.m. A deputy and the Grays River ambulance responded to aid a possibly unresponsive male in a vehicle in the Deep River area. 2:58 p.m. An E. Valley Road resident reported a possible domestic violence situation in Longview. The Cowlitz County Sheriff's department was contacted.

March 12--7:32 a.m. A caller reported a boat drifting down the Columbia River with an occupant who appeared in distress. The boat regained power while the caller was still on the line.
