Larry M. Badger

Larry Marlin Badger, 75, a lifelong Wahkiakum resident passed away December 31, 2011 at Columbia View Care Center in Cathlamet. He was born December 27, 1936 in Grays River to parents Harold and Hazel (Erickson) Badger. He and Ellen Davis were married March 16, 1957.

He worked as a loader operator for Weyerhaeuser Co., DeBriae logging and Johnson Forestry, retiring in 1999. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, working on cars and he never knew a stranger. He was a member of the On The Road Again Car Club.

He was preceded in death by a sister Lorraine Wendolin and two brothers, Laverne and Marvin Badger. He is survived by his wife Ellen Badger; son Ross (Carrie) Badger; four daughters Dana (Matt) Montgomery, Kim (Terry) Tarabochia, Lori (Rick) Badger and Lynn (Randy) Hartley; brother, Raymond (Caroline) Badger; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Rosburg Hall at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Community Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632 or Columbia View Care Center Activities Fund, P.O. Box 338, Cathlamet, WA 98612.

Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
