Greg Parke to play at Pioneer Church

The Pioneer Community Association will present a concert by Skamokawa musician Greg Parke on December 17.

Parke uses acoustic and electric guitar to create a one man band sound, playing a wide variety of styles.

The concert will be held at the Pioneer Church in Cathlamet, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the Bank of the Pacific or at the door.

4-H club sponsors food drive

The Sugar & Spice 4-H Club is sponsoring a Christmas Food Drive. The club will donate the food collected to the Wahkiakum Food Bank. Boxes for collection are located at the Grays River Cafe and the Rosburg Store.

Hidden River continue music at Redmen Hall

Redmen Hall's annual Holiday Open House continues this week with local musicians Hidden River. Members Randy Williams, Michael Dowers and Christine Payne-Towler will perform a mix of holiday and folk songs on Sunday.

The open house also features gifts made by local artisans including socks by Tom Irving and pottery by Stan Gibson.

The musical performance begins at 1 p.m. Redmen Hall is located on SR4 in Skamokawa and is open Thursday through Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
